About Helen
As a Marriage & Family Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor, I have extensive experience helping couples, individuals and children change harmful patterns, build solid relationships, and achieve happy, fulfilling lives.
My formal education consists of a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, a Master's Degree in Cross Cultural Studies from Fuller School of Intercultural Studies, and a Master's of Divinity in Theology from Princeton Seminary.

What sets me apart from a lot of other counselors is my treatment plans that keep clients on a systematic, results-oriented approach to change. I have put together a focused, short term program to help clients achieve their goals quickly, even after 1-2 visits. I strive to help my clients see changes right away, not months from now.
Some of my clients are globally mobile: diplomats, international students, missionaries, overseas English teachers, multinational executives, military, UN officials and expatriates. I understand the stresses and demands placed on these people while living in cross cultural settings.

Starting out as a 12 year old, I have lived and worked for several decades as an expatriate in many countries (Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Finland and former Czechoslovakia).
I have had private counseling practices in Amsterdam, Lausanne, Vienna and Moscow.

In the United States, I have private counseling practices in Washington, DC, and in Princeton, NJ.
As a mother, I understand the difficulties parents face today raising children. I am able to offer support, encouragement and counseling services to parents of children with autism, special needs, developmental delays, high IQ and gifted children.
